The holiday season is supposed to be a joyful family time. But I can also be a source of anxiety and/or loneliness, especially for queer folks who may not feel safe in the places or with people they are going to visit. This can often mean being misgendered, deadnamed or otherwise being invalidated in your identity, overstepping boundaries, uncomfortable remarks, or questions or even physical or psychological violence.

If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and safe space to spend Christmas Eve, you are more than welcome at Centre LGBTIQ+ Cigale for a small get-together. We don’t have a fully equipped kitchen but we will have a buffet with things to eat (if you want to contribute please write us )
