The LGBTIQ+ sports group
The LGBTIQ+ sports group is a support and empowerment group of Centre LGBTIQ+ CIGALE.
Whether individually or collectively, for leisure or in a competitive spirit, the Luxembourgish sports world offers few places for us.
The communities that constitute the LGBTIQ+ family are aware of this; the question is always about finding a safe space.
We, LGBTIQ+ athletes, both avid and less inclined towards sports, have decided to take matters into our own hands and reclaim these sports spaces that also belong to us.

The sports group brings together all individuals from the LGBTIQ+ community who wish to engage in one or more sports in a safe environment, ensured through collective sessions with peers.
This group has set forth four objectives:

Sports activities:

Propose, organize, lead, and participate in sports activities (individual sports, team sports, wellness activities, etc.).

Developing a network of allied partners:

Establish partnerships with allies to expand the spaces where we can engage in sports, with respect and safety.

Raising awareness and educating the Luxembourgish sports community:

Promote awareness and education within the Luxembourg sports community.

Public advocacy and political representation:

Speak publicly and advocate politically to make our presence known and assert our rights.

Let's come together to run, cycle, swim, play soccer, basketball, practice yoga, tai chi, krav maga, and more.
