Rainbow 4 Health

On the one hand, mental health is a subject of growing concern to the population. This is even more the case among young people and has significantly worsened during the pandemic.

The queer community, because of its intersectionality, is particularly vulnerable and in need of support.

On the other hand, there aren't enough health professionals available, which increases waiting times for care, and they are often not sufficiently trained in the difficulties faced by the queer community.

Finally, the public is not sufficiently aware of the problem, and has no real resources or information network to turn to for help.

We have created R4H (Rainbow for Heath), one of CIGALE's communities united around themes relating to mental health in all its forms.

R4H is a peer group with no therapeutic aims.

The R4H community has 4 main objectives:

- Creation of a peer support group to break isolation in the face of problems and practice wellness activities without constraints (time and presence).

- Raising awareness and prevention among the general public (young people in schools/universities and families).

- Training of professionals and creation of a safe, trusted network

- Information and exchange space providing safe addresses and resources for the community

The group meets monthly to exchange ideas and discuss "wellness activities". Regular or full attendance is not compulsory, and everyone is free to participate in whatever way suits them best. Members can communicate through a Whatsapp group to share resources and/or organize events.

Join us every first Saturday of the month from 13:30 to 16:30 (come as you like).
